Our monthly men's meetings start with a meditation followed by sharing from our heart. We also share some feedback of chapters of a book by inspiring authors (e.g. work by Henry Nouwen, Richard Rohr, Adrian Smith) that we agree to read. We use a tree metaphor to explain to a newcomer how from meditation and silence we awaken to our spiritual reality and become compassionate towards ourselves and others.
In this way we are equipped to welcome, value, affirm, listen to and care for other brothers, in a space which is sacred because is safe, inclusive, without judgement and desire to provide answers, where everyone doesn't need to perform to be accepted.
